I have always been a creative and fiercely independent, always 'doing 'my own thing'. As a child, I used to drive my family crazy with my high energy, constant creative, daily mess, forever changing furniture and decor in my room and experimenting in the kitchen!

Following education in the creative arts, University life and 15 years working within the media and corporate world, I was failing to work myself 'up the ladder'. I was not interested in pursuing a position of authority managing people, and carving a life conforming to the expectations of society.

I realised I needed to make a drastic change and honour a deep sense of knowing- it was my duty to do so.

And that is exactly what I did!

It was 2014 when I embarked on my first ever solo trip to Italy, and I signed up for a mini cooking course in the Roman Countryside. And it changed my life.

During that time, I embraced my desire for creation and for the love for real, organic food and most of all, cooking as a form of therapy. I also realised my deep passion for Interior Design which was cemented during many trips back and forth to Florence and Rome.

I learned about the importance of food history and in particular how Cucina Povera changed the landscape of Italy during time of war, famine and cultural change. To this day many simple recipes fuels a powerhouse of tourism experiences and it blows my mind how it has reached such global influence, and introspectively look at my own understanding and history of food and traditions in Wales.

I have embarked on an unique journey and I am eager for Casa Galesa to be a creative learning space
